Which in itself is interesting to ponder: if the energy innately tries to fuel its own creation. If the stability of this realm, such as it currently is, depends upon anima then it could be valuable to determine if anima has that sort of "survival" quality to it.

But putting that avenue aside for a moment. We've seen there are items — and biological sources — that influence in one manner or another anima. If such influence is possible, then could it not be drawn a step further? Perhaps something that could draw the energy to it and store it, or simple containment itself in a manner similar to how one might contain Light.

Theoretically, yes. I do not see why not. We know the Hive capture Light in crystals for their rituals. It would be a matter of finding something with the correct resonance to store anima.

I thought I might be overlooking something obvious, and I was.

Admittedly I had been ruminating on something with a touch more finesse. Akin to the manner of the Well's internal storage. But with the state of the native tech here... yes, I think something more similar to Hive methods could be a much easier avenue to attempt.

It is certainly far more crude a method, but a proof of concept must come before it can be refined.

An excellent point. Best to test for something that has the necessary resonance with anima before jumping ahead to more complex ideas.

Time may not progress, but it does not mean new dangers will not crop up that necessitate this work.
