While Osiris is out, Mara leaves a package for him in his room. The package is plainly wrapped in royal purple paper, the note in a similarly-colored envelope.
As I have seen others take to the giving of gifts this month, I felt the urge to do so myself. I hope this can serve as a small token of home and a testament to both our perseverance.

Inside the package is a statue several inches tall of a phoenix seemingly carved out of a single crystal that he is likely to recognize as Awoken Amethyst, though there are small streaks of golden-red, particularly along the wings.
[ With all the chaos in the city - and with themselves - the past couple weeks, they have been a bit like ghosts in passing. Experiments with the water leading in different directions and to different distractions. This day she lingers in the quiet apartment for a bit, but ultimately feels a need to head out again and settles for leaving a message for her friend the old fashioned way.

There is something we need to discuss. Sagira has a clue even if she doesn't realize it.
Not related to the trouble in recent weeks, although that merits talk eventually, once we both have had time to settle from it.
It is not urgent per se but it has gone unsaid long enough.
I find myself with a particular curiosity that I would typically direct toward my techeuns, but as I am without I would like to seek your insight instead.

With what we thus far know about the unique energy type in this realm, I've begun to wonder how anima may compare to the energies you and I are more familiar with. Not in capability, rather its tangibility. The potential to be molded... or contained.
I feel like there may be some aspect of containing it in the magical items that we have encountered here. They often seem to directly affect the production of anima, or at least influence people into creating more. It could be an effect by the energy to create more of itself.
Which in itself is interesting to ponder: if the energy innately tries to fuel its own creation. If the stability of this realm, such as it currently is, depends upon anima then it could be valuable to determine if anima has that sort of "survival" quality to it.
But putting that avenue aside for a moment. We've seen there are items — and biological sources — that influence in one manner or another anima. If such influence is possible, then could it not be drawn a step further? Perhaps something that could draw the energy to it and store it, or simple containment itself in a manner similar to how one might contain Light.
Theoretically, yes. I do not see why not. We know the Hive capture Light in crystals for their rituals. It would be a matter of finding something with the correct resonance to store anima.

Admittedly I had been ruminating on something with a touch more finesse. Akin to the manner of the Well's internal storage. But with the state of the native tech here... yes, I think something more similar to Hive methods could be a much easier avenue to attempt.
